Intro to Joyous Living
What does it mean to live a joyous life? A joyous life promotes consistent feelings of peace, hope, and love. It is having moments of pure joy, but mostly a sense of great well-being and happiness while feeling at peace. As you live a joyous life you are filled with love and light. You are productive and living your divine purpose. You feel a sense of creativity. The point is you are filled with a happiness. A feeling of contentment for yourself. This leads to a desire to reach out and help others. To lift the planet. That is joyous living!
Choose Joy:
It is essential to take responsibility for ones own happiness when living a joyous life. No more blaming others. It is about choosing joy. Everyday we face many choices, where we can choose negativity or we can choose joy. Starting with our thoughts when we first wake. Are they joyous thoughts or stressful thoughts? It sets a tone for the day.
This is about being aware and conscious of our choices. Stepping back to observe and then choosing our response. Its about watching our thoughts and keeping them positive. It’s about being kind to one’s self and not expecting to be perfect. It’s about nurturing self and others.
Throughout this site I will give tips on essential oils and other tools that help implement the concepts.
Essential Oils work by traveling through the olfactory bulb to the limbic system. The limbic system helps control our emotions. The beautiful thing about essential oils is that different oils promote many positive emotions as well as help bump us out of negative emotions. These are used aromatically (A), topically (T) and for most internally (I). If I’m addressing a specific issue I like to use all three methods. For promoting positive moods and feelings using Essential Oils aromatically is suggested. To use aromatically you can place the Essential Oils in a diffuser; put a drop in your hands, rub together and breathe in deeply; or place on cottontails and set nearby.

6 Areas to Focus On:
In building a joyous life it helps to look at increasing joy in 6 areas. Spirituality, Relationships, Physical Health, Professional and Finances, and finally, Personal Development. In each of these areas we will look at Connection, Clear Conscience, Choosing Gratitude, and Giving Back. Each of these 6 areas are very important, some may be more important than others. They all influence other areas for creating a joyous life. However, focusing on any one area at the expense of another is costly. And being out of balance in any these areas can highjack your joyous life. So lets look at these areas more specifically.
